Visiting Byrd’s Books

I had such a fantastic time at Byrd’s Books. A lot of kids and their families braved the storms, and we had huge fun talking about books, writing, and online gaming. (Now I know about Machinarium—awesome! ) These kids were great company, and I am so glad I got a chance to hang out with them.

I’m also thrilled to have discovered Byrd’s Books, which is a wonderful independent in Bethel, CT. The lovely Alice Hutchinson runs it. It’s small, but the selection is a perfect combination of books you’re looking for and books you didn’t know you wanted until someone pointed them out. So, if you’re in the area, stop by. Have a cup of coffee at Molten Java and ask Alice what your next book should be.
